 Meeting May 4, 2013

The meeting was called to order by  Joe K4KKT;

This is what happened..

Minutes from April Approved

Treasurer Report:  All bills paid including postage from our QSL card program  and the insurance on the repeater.

Membership:  21 members  plus 2 new members to sign up today.. Welcome Jeremy & Steve...

NC QSO Party report by John KD4LHP,  WE WON 1st PLACE  in our class....

John also reported on the Special Event for Gen Hardee's Retreat;  we had 106 qsos and 42 qsl certificates have been requested and delivered by email...

Old Bus:  We are talking to one of the new members about taking the NET MGR position..

http://www.nc4ar.net/ is looking good and more is to come.. discussion about different venues and avenues for the site..
 
We discussed Field Day as to the location and planning to get it off to a running start. John KD4LHP wore his field day shirt to demonstrate what they looked like,,,,,,  be sure and order yours today before they sell out  The hats and coffee cups look very good as well....

New Bus:  Speaker of the month;  John W8LWX has W4TMR Charles lined up for the June Meeting,  he is going to discuss antenna modeling....

FIELD DAY June 22 & 23, 2013....

Program presented by John Laughlin KD4LHP;  Handy Talkie,  various models of HTs were on display.. from the very high end multi band,

D-Star, the chinese HTs.  John gave the positives and negatives of each model....Very informative program, Good Job John..

Meeting adjourned.
