Old/Unfinished Business:
Short slideshow of the NC QSO Party. A beam antenna was set up this year. A great time was had by all! Band conditions were very different from last year. The hot tub was utilized often. Gerald’s cooking was wonderful, as usual. There is talk of participating in the QSO party again next year, options discussed were going back to the mountains, or setting up at a location closer to home. We have received 5 paper QSL cards arrive in the mail, and 80+ on QRZ.com.

The VE exam session in Thomasville is 2 weeks from today.

Its time for the collection of Annual Club Dues. Payments in Cash or a Check need to get to Gerald KF4NEF, or you can pay with Paypal thru the Club website.

New Business:
High Point Cycling Classic – This is a 2 day cycling event that High Point is trying to get set up. There is a possibility that we might be able to help provide communications support for the event. Rick read a draft letter to be send to Mr. Hines, the event coordinator. This event would be held September 8th and 9th. Rick will put a copy of the letter up on the website.

ARRL sideband contest is this weekend. It started last night, it goes to tomorrow night at 8pm.

There will be a SOTA activation right after the next Club meeting, April 1st, weather permitting. We will be hiking up Mount Shepard. We will leave for Subway restaurant after the club meeting, then we will drive to the Mount and hike up the mountain, stopping as needed to catch our breath. SOTA stands for Summits On The Air. This is a worldwide event, and we will get points for activating a summit.

Bill KK4ZIU told us of a Skywarn Spotter Training March 23rd at 1450 Fairchild Rd. in Winston-Salem.
