Old/Unfinished Business:
Gerald KF4NEF did a show-and-tell of the NC QSO Party trophies the Club has won over the past several years.

Marty W4MY said a few words and officially announced that we have won our category for the NC QSO Party, and presented the Club with our newest trophy!

Rick gave some information about the Bobby Labonte Foundation Charity Bike Race in High Point. The Event would like to include Hams in their communications plan this year. The Event will be held September 9th, at 7:30am. More info can be had at highpointcyclingclassic.com

Today is the final day for dues to be paid. Dues can be paid online through Paypal.

New Business:
There are several ham radio events happening this weekend. Thefull list can be read online at www.qsoparty.eqth.net

Field Day is June 24th. We are currently looking at site locations, several suggestions have been made.

Rick spoke about last month’s SOTA activation. June 3rd after the club meeting will be the Club’s next activation and we will be activating Mount Jefferson. We can drive to the top, we will be counted as a rare DX station, and we expect to be back around 5pm.


Sat May 20th is the next VE test session.

Bill KK4ZIU is still working on organizing a Skywarn training session. Raleigh is next holding a Hurricane Awareness Tour at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Wednesday, May 10th. They will be flying in an official Hurricane Hunter aircraft to visit just 5 East Coast cities and one city in Canada.
