This Thursday, we will go through the process of configuring a radio and computer to run FT8, a form of digital communication that really shines when band conditions are poor.
If time permits, we will also review the state of the art in CW decoders. CW is the granddaddy of all digital communication modes. With a bit of software and hardware you can transmit and receive Morse, with minimal (even no) proficiency in using that thing between your ears. You don't even need a Morse key.
