Tri-County Amateur Radio Club Minutes of Meeting: 12 September 2020
A regular monthly meeting of the Tri-County Amateur Radio Club was held on Saturday, 12 September 2020 at 8:30 am EDT on the 145.290 repeater and other linked repeaters pursuant to Section 4.4 of the bylaws with the president, W4DAE-David, being in the chair. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 am.
The on-air meeting was supplemented by a members-only Remote Meeting forum on NC4AR.org where members could post comments, make and second motions, and participate in discussion during the preceding week. A description of the remote meeting procedure was e-mailed to members on August 30, September 5, and September 7, 2020.

Guests: None.
Adoption of Agenda
A draft agenda was distributed prior to commencement of the meeting. As no changes had been proposed in the online discussion prior to the on-air meeting, the draft agenda was adopted.
Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting
The minutes of the August 2020 meeting were adopted by unanimous consent.
Reports of Officers and Committees
Report of the Treasurer. -- As of 31 August 2020, the club still had $80 remaining in its initial $298 operating budget for the year. Cash on hand stood at $1,258.08, leaving $1,178.08 in uncommitted resources (i.e., cash on hand net of the operating fund balance).
Report of the Secretary. -- The secretary reported one roster change since the previous meeting: the addition of a new member, K0RZO, Daniel. The club now has 41 members, all in good standing.
Open Motions from August 2020 Meeting
There were no unresolved motions from the previous meeting.
New Business
W8LWX moved to allocate another $100 to the 2020 operating budget for funeral-related expenses. The motion was adopted by unanimous consent.
W8LWX moved to ratify decisions by the officers acting as a business committee to make a donation in appreciation for the use of certain local repeaters and to make a payment for the use of certain property as a repeater site, as more fully described in the Remote Meeting online forum. The motion was adopted by unanimous consent.
Program and Announcements
W4DAE and KK4RR reported on the donation by KM4PBU, Glenna, of a Kenwood TS-940S on behalf of her husband, KK4ZIU, Bill (SK).
KK4RR reported that there will be a license test session on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at Finch Park in Lexington. Those wishing to be tested should contact KK4RR directly, in advance, to schedule a specific time slot. Staggered slots will be available in order to promote social distancing and minimize opportunities for coronavirus transmission.
Adjournment
There being no further business on the agreed agenda, the meeting was adjourned without objection at 8:54 am.

Membership confers full voting rights only on licensed amateur radio operators. Unlicensed members cannot vote or serve as officers but have all other club privileges.
