Tri-County Amateur Radio Club Minutes of Meeting: 07 November 2020
A regular monthly meeting of the Tri-County Amateur Radio Club was held on Saturday, 07 November 2020 at 8:30 am EST on the 441.800 MHz repeater and other linked repeaters pursuant to Section 4.4 of the bylaws, with the president, W4DAE-David, being in the chair. The meeting was called to order at 8:36 am.
The on-air meeting was supplemented by a members-only Remote Meeting forum on NC4AR.org where members could post comments, make and second motions, and participate in discussion during the preceding week. A description of the remote meeting procedure was e-mailed to members on October 26, 2020.

Adoption of Agenda
A draft agenda was distributed prior to commencement of the meeting. As no changes had been proposed in the online discussion prior to the on-air meeting, the draft agenda was adopted.
Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting
Reading of the minutes of the October 2020 meeting was waived, and they were then adopted, both actions by unanimous consent.
Reports of Officers and Committees
Report of the Treasurer. -- W8LWX reported that there had been no new transactions since the previous monthly meeting and that the treasury report remained unchanged from the one posted on the website for that meeting.
Report of the Secretary. -- W8LWX reported that had been no roster changes and no correspondence since the previous monthly meeting.
Report of the Nominating Committee. -- KF4QDS, chairman, delivered the report of this year's nominating committee, which also included KK4RR, Rick, and KJ4UYR, Janice. The committee made the following nominations: for president, W4DAE, David; for vice president, KW4IL, Bart; and for Secretary-Treasurer, W8LWX, John.
Additional Nominations from the Floor
As required by Article 5.1 of the club's bylaws, additional nominations for next year's officers' terms were invited from the floor. No additional nominations were made.
Open Motions from October 2020 Meeting
There were no unresolved motions from the previous meeting.
New Business
KG4TAH, via the online Remote Meeting forum, moved to grant KF4OVA, Keith, honorary membership for the remainder of 2020 and for 2021, with all rights of paid membership including voting rights, in appreciation for his work and dedication in keeping the linking system on the air for the club's benefit. The motion was adopted by unanimous consent.
Program and Announcements
W4DAE reiterated that there will be no Thursday Night club nets on November 26 (Thanksgiving) or December 24 (Christmas Eve) this year.
KF4QDS added that there also will be no club net on December 31 (New Year's Eve).
Adjournment
There being no further business on the agreed agenda, the meeting was adjourned without objection at 9:01 am. A post-meeting on-air roundtable discussion then commenced, concluding at 9:22 am.
* Family rate covers all members who, as of 18 Jan. 2025, live in same household; or any member and his or her spouse.
** Senior rate covers any member whose birthday is on or before 18 Jan. 1955.
Membership confers full voting rights only on licensed amateur radio operators. Unlicensed members cannot vote or serve as officers but have all other club privileges.
