Reports of Officers and Committees
Report of the Secretary. -- As of the date of the meeting, the club had 41 members. Two members had been added to the roster since the previous meeting: KQ4KVC, Karl; and KQ4KVD, Joy.
Report of the Treasurer. -- For the month ending 30 September 2023, we still had $560.33 left over from our initial operating budget of $850. We had a total of $1,485.61 in "cash on hand," which includes the balances of our checking, savings, and PayPal accounts, plus any currency, coins, and checks awaiting deposit. After setting aside the funds dedicated to the operating budget, this means that, as of the end of the month, we had a net total of $925.28 in uncommitted resources available for other uses. For the 2023 membership year, we had received $585.14 in dues, donations, and interest, and spent $304.00, resulting in net income of $281.14 as of month's end. Next month's figures will reflect the recent expenditure, a few days prior to the meeting, of $200 for the club's liability insurance.
Report of the President. -- The president reported on a recent personal project (a TARP digital link) and on ongoing personal efforts to establish a working 440 MHz link to the club repeater from Thomasville for low-power users.
Report of the Nominating Committee. -- Committee members W4DAE-David (chairman), K4DSX-Rod, and W8LWX-John reported that the committee still wants to hear from any and all members who would be willing to serve next year as president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer of the club.
